Cyclops

- In the beginning of The Cyclops, Odysseus and his men arrive at a cave, and decide to explore it. Odysseus says in "The Cyclops" that "We beached there, and I told my crew to stand by and keep watch over the ship:". This scene shows us that Odysseus is about to enter the cave to explore.
- Men, stay here and watch the ship while we explore the cavern.
- Odysseus and his men discover the cyclops while exploring the cave, who eats two of his men. Odysseus says "We cried aloud, lifting our hands to Zeus,". This shows that the men were horrified at the sight of their men being eaten by the cyclops.
- Oh Zeus, please keep us safe!
- In the end of The Cyclops, Odysseus and his men escape the cyclops by clinging onto the bottoms of the cyclops' rams, and riding them out of the cave. Odysseus says at the end of The Cyclops that "He sent us into the open, then. Close by, I dropped and rolled clear of the ram's belly.". This shows that Odysseus and his men escaped the cyclops.
- Those men will not get out of this cave alive.
