- CLASS! notice how we are furthest from the Sun, because the Moon reflects light from the Sun, the Earth is able to see a full bright moon because there is nothing blocking the Moon and the Sun. Any questions?

- What is this phase called?
- This phase is called a Waning Gibbous it is slowly getting closer to the Sun and appears like a waning crescent on Earth!

- Now we are slightly closer to the Sun and is right between the front and back of the Earth! This place is called the Last quarter which is the opposite of the first quarter, but because we started on a full moon, we are going in the lunar cycle.
