  • Americans Indians and "Westward Expansion"
  • WHY DO I HAVE TO LEAVE???
  • U.S : America wanted to continue to expand west into indigenous territory but Mexico owned some of the land creating conflict. Mexico: Mexico had a lack of weapons contributed to them loosing the war.
  • Britain: Great Brittan was not successful with keeping possession of the Oregon territory, making America another step closer to "Manifest Destiny."U.S. : With being close to finally completing the plan of Manifest Destiny James k Polk attempted having Oregon in is his possession and succeeded. with his plan of spreading from coast to coast ( including Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and parts of Canada.)
  • American Indians: Ways that the Native Americans were affected by the westward expansion is that the American government did not keep their end of the promise which means that native Americans were forced to move to reservation in modern day Oklahoma. The treaties that the American Settlers frequently broke treaties and that prevented Natives from having little to no land. Also forced to move because the was a legion amount of buffalo killed and that was the natives hunting ground.U.S.: The impact on the us was that the White settlers lost some money for paying for reservations, and gained the natural resources from the native Americans land.
