- they reproduce but they are a grey and very small
- in this case of mutation them being smaller and still natural color worked in their favor. it allowed the species to be faster, quiet, and ultimately get there prey better
- they then reproduce to which seems like a healthy fox, but they have difficulty seeing in the dark
- this is a huge setback for this species as they are very vulnerable to their prey making it a risk every night for survival
