Storyboard Text

  • How are you?I know you've had a tough year.
  • It's been rough, but I got through it.
  • I think I'm having a heart attack.
  • Sir, are you okay?
  • I think I'm starting to like it here.
  • Brian Robeson, a young boy from New York, is embarking on a trip to Canada to visit his father's house for the summer. A lot has happened, especially his mom and dad's divorce, which he's still sad about.
  • I can't believe I missed the rescue plane.
  • I can't believe I missed the rescue plane.
  • The pilot then starts feeling discomfort and has a heart attack. Brian, the only other person on the plane has to take charge. He, luckily lands the plane into a lake and escapes safely while the pilot died.
  • You okay, kid.
  • Yeah, I'm fine. Thanks for rescuing me.
  • Anytime. Let's head back home.
  • Brian realizes that being rescued is going to take a while so he has to adjust to the environment. With his trusty hatchet his mom gave him by his side, Brian creates a shelter and fire, finds food, and slowly adapts to his new environment.
  • I can't believe your back. I missed you.
  • I missed you guys, too. I'm happy to see you all.
  • I was so worried when you didn't come. I'm glad your okay.
  • Brian also has many struggles. He gets attacked by a porcupine and has an encounter with a bear. He also has flashbacks about the events that led to the divorce. Brian also misses the chance to be rescued by a plane which resulted in a deep depression.
  • A tornado then brings up the plane from the lake. Brian goes through the plane and finds the pilot's emergency survival bag. He finds a emergency transmitter and flips the switch. Then, a plane lands on a lake and rescues Brian.
  • Brian is rescued and goes back to his normal life. His family reunites after the crash but goes back to the way it was to the way, it was. Brian spent 54 days in the woods. Because of that, his behavior changes and he becomes more observant and appreciative. He's also grown mentally and physically as a person.
