  • *crying* I know I shouldn't have skipped school for one month we have a test coming up and I have no clue on what it's about, maybe I should drop out :(
  • OH MY GOD IT'S THE MATH GOD, PLEASE HAVE A SEAT AND HELP ME CATCH UP ON WHAT I MISSED OUT ON
  • Did I hear someone saying they're gonna give up?
  • Of course I can help they don't call me the math god for no reason
  • OMG THANK YOU MATH GOD I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD OF DONE IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU
  • Okay so what have I missed out on?
  • Hahaha no problem kiddo, that's what I'm here for:) But right now lets focus on your math. Well for your test tomorrow you will need to know the following: axis of symmetry, parabola, roots/zero/x-intercept, y-intercept, minimum and maximum values, a quadratic and the vertex. You would also need to know standard form, factored form and how to determine the equation of a quadratic function from a graph
  • Well son, you have missed a lot of math this past month but with my math powers I should be able to help you for your test tomorrow
  • Axis of symmetry The axis of symmetry is a vertical line that is found crossing through the vertex of a parabola. You can find the axis of symmetry on the x coordinate of vertex of the parabola.
  • axis of symmetry
  • I am going to explain on this paper
  • VertexThe vertex is the x corrdiante found on the minimum/maximum point on a parabola.
  • ParabolaFor a quadratic function, a parabola is a U shaped curve. When the "A" value is smaller than 0 the graph of the parabola is downwards. when the "A" value is greater than 0 the graph of a parabola is upward, or opens up.
  • Roots/zeros/x-interceptThe above three terms represent the same thing. They represent the X value/coordinates of a parabola from a quadratic function on the x axis. The roots of a quadratic function can be one, two or zero.
