  • hospitals didn't always look like this, there were a few things that happened in the 18th century medical revolution that made them what they are today!
  • this was the first vaccine ever created by Edward Jenner, the founder of vaccination in western culture. It was to prevent smallpox as he found the connection between cowpox and smallpox. It was tested on a 13 year old boy
  • this was a pharmacy where people picked up their individual prescriptions.
  • there were also home cures such as leeches. anaesthetics were used in surgeries, some of these were mandrake roots and opium.
  • the number of hospitals also increased drastically during this time. meaning less people were sick
  • the end.
