  • Hey! Have you heard about the Roe v. Wade court case?
  • Yes, I have! It's been all over social media lately! Everyone's talking about how it was overturned! It's a big issue in politics and causing lots of arguments!
  • Exactly! Roe vs. Wade was overturned so now it is no longer a constitutional right for women to get an abortion.
  • You look upset. Are you pro-choice? Are you upset that Roe v. Wade was overturned?
  • Video begins with a shot of the location.
  • I'm not on a particular side of the argument. What's upsetting me is how much everyone is arguing about it. There are two clear sides of the issue- pro life and pro choice.
  • The people who are actually able to make decisions (the Supreme Court) are pushing pro life values and decisions while there are pro choice women who are powerless and not able to decide what is constitutional regarding their own bodies.
  • The two characters introduce the topic of Roe v. Wade and provide information that shows how this is an example of first-dimensional power due to there being a visible and known power struggle.
  • Women should be able to decide what they do with their bodies, not the Supreme Court!
  • The two characters further prove that this is first-dimensional power by providing context with the case and current issue.
  • Exactly. There are so many issues and cases like this with two sides having direct confrontation. And these power struggles will continue to happen unless there is change.
  • Wow! This issue is really impacting so many people! It's amazing how the Supreme Court can have so much power over all these cases, determining what is constitutional not just regarding abortion but for lots of other issues that impact Americans as well.
  • The two characters show how this issue emphasizes overt power from those able to make decisions in the courtroom to those who are not able to decide what is constitutional or not regarding their own bodies.
  • You're right. It's clear that the Supreme Court holds all the power regarding abortion and other issues. Look at these protestors fighting against the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade!
  • Visual depiction of this direct head-to-head, open confrontation between protestors who are pro-choice and the Supreme Court who overturned Roe v. Wade, making abortion unconstitutional and ultimately, supporting the pro-life side of the argument.
  • To conclude the video, the two characters wrap up their conversation by discussing the impact of this clear first-dimensional power issue- the girl talks first and then the guy talks last.
