- Did you know? We see the Earth from a distance, and it looks like a pale blue security blanket that is held together by the force of gravity.
- But I'm curious about how the atmosphere comes about though? And how it affects us in different ways. I'm also curious about how people can take the atmosphere for granted.
- We feel close to our atmosphere, but it feels like it's distant and out of reach. The air we breathe is life-sustaining and surrounds our planet like a security blanket, due to the force of gravity.
- Indeed, and the atmosphere of Earth is important for many reasons. It contains the oxygen we need to breathe, and it also protects us from harmful ultraviolet solar radiation.
- I'm glad we could agree on that! The atmosphere is also divided into three layers: the troposphere, the stratosphere, and the thermosphere. Well that's it for now. I ran out of storyboard cells.
- The atmosphere of Earth is big and complex, with many different layers. It is fragile, but also robust and stable. Human activity is affecting the atmosphere in many ways, but it is not clear where the line between the atmosphere and space is.
