- If you're planning on starting a new business, setting goals and plans for the future are required which involve the role of a top level manager. For example, the president and vice president. They usually consist of small groups or just one person. They set goals like how much money they wanna make or how many people they're planning to hire. Since you want to start an art painting business, you may want to start by setting goals like how much paint you need to buy or the amount of canvases.
- But for middle line managers, they're the ones who carry out the decisions that the top level manager makes. They're also responsible for planning and control things. Like for your future business, if you want to look for places to locate, those managers can help. Also if they see someone not doing what they're supposed to do, they can report that.
- Lastly, with the first line manager, those managers direct the day to day activities of the operational employees. They also operate their departments, assign tasks, manage work flow, etc.
