Hi I'm Protein the guard dog of everything DNA. Today I'm going to give you an inside scoop on the process of protein synthesis.
Before we get to the lab to see the process of Protein synthesis your first have to know the basics of what it is. This process is how cells make proteins! Pretty cool huh?
In order for you to understand Protein Synthesis you have to first know that proteins are vital to this process. Proteins are always being made in your cells, cool huh?
A crucial thing to know about this process is that most of it happens within the Cell, the whole process works around the nucleus which is in the cell.
A crazy fact is that our cells are constantly making thousands upon millions of copies of our DNA! This is called Transcription, it is the first step in the protein synthesis process. These copies are known as mRNA
After our bodies make the copies it transforms them into proteins for our muscles! each copy reads the sets of alleles in 3's and directly compliments them. this is the part when the codons and amino acids correspond with each other.
This part of the process is called Translation, a way to remember it is that the letter C comes before L .
After our cells make the copies also known as tRNA, it then distributes them to our muscles and helps give them the proper nutrients.
The final part in this process is protein translocation, where the Ribosomes release the growing peptide into the cytoplasm, and the Polypeptide chain.
Cya later guys! thanks for hanging out with us!
Well, friends that is all you need to know about the process of protein synthesis. I hope that you all learned something today!
