Quick Recap:the atmosphere is a layer of gases surrounding Earth.
Hi, I'm Professor S., and I want to tell you all about the layers of the atmosphere. There are 5 layers, so lets begin!
Layers Of Atmosphere:TroposphereStratosphereMesosphereThermosphereExosphere
Troposphere15° C (59° F)
The air is the densest in this layer. Did you know that the troposphere has three-quarters of the mass in the entire atmosphere? This is also where clouds are.
This is the troposphere. it's where most weather occurs. And, right now, the weather is really bad. This is also where animals, plants, and where we live. Even though birds live here, they fly somewhere else.
Without the ozone layer, we wouldn't survive. There are many things we could die from. heat from the sun would really hurt us. Dehydration would also hurt us, the Sun would evaporate all liquids, and well, we wouldn't have anything to drink. Lastly, we would all die of lack of food. Plants get their nutrients from water and the Sun, through photosynthesis, deer eat plants, wolves eat deer, and we eat both meat and plants. Animals, Plants, and humans need water and food, which there would be none of without the ozone layer
The ozone layer is also here in the stratosphere. The ozone lay protects us from ultraviolent radiation from the Sun.
Stratosphere
This is the stratosphere. I'm in a plane right now, because this is where planes and where birds fly. It lies above Earth's clouds, and barley changes at all!
Satellites orbit above the mesosphere, but they can't perfectly measure the mesosphere's traits Scientists use special instruments on sounding rockets to find more about the mesosphere, but it's very rare.

Thermosphere
This is the troposphere. it's where most weather occurs. And, right now, the weather is really bad, lets head to another area in the troposphere, where it's not raining
