July 14, 1789: The Storming of the Bastille in Paris, France. The Bastille was a symbol of the despotism of the ruling Bourbon monarchy.the Bastille was not to free any prisoners but to get ammunition and arms. There was over over 30,000 pounds of gunpowder was stored at the Bastille. The king was angry that the new National Assembly had refused to disband.
August 26, 1789: The Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen, set by France's National Constituent Assembly. It defined individual and collective rights at the time of the French Revolution. National Constituent Assembly was a fundamental document of the French Revolution that granted civil rights to some commoners. It then had to under go presence and under the auspices of the Supreme . One of the articles states that " Men are born and remain free and equal in rights."

King Louis XVI of France and Queen Marie Antoinette, their immediate family unsuccessfully attempted to escape from Paris in order to initiate a counter-revolution. It the last peaceful attempt made by the people of Paris to persuade King Louis XVI of France to abandon his current policy. They attempt to follow what they believed to be a more empathetic approach to governing.
