- Charlie Gordon is a 37 year old man who lives in New York and has an IQ of 60. Charlie wants to learn to read write and be normal like everyone else so he decides to get an operation that triples his intelligence.
- Falling Action
- After a long period of hard work in Ms Kinnians class Charlie finally finds a solution to become intelligent.Charlie has been advised by Dr Strauss and Dr Nemur about using him for an operation that enhances Charlies intelligence by tripling it.
- Denouement
- Charlie's best friend the mouse named algernon undergoed the same surgery Charlie had to increase his intelligence but sadly algernon began to have aggressive behaviors and bit Charlie.A few weeks after Charlie was bit Algernon died because his mind was slowly shrinking which caused him to die.
- Inciting Incident
- Charlie begins to act the same way Algernon did and he was slowly losing his motor skills,memory,and his IQ is decreasing slowly also Charlie feels frustrated he is having difficulty reading and writing
- Unfortunately Charlie's IQ returns back to 60 and Charlie decides to save the trouble for everyone who cares about him and leaves New York to continue his life without people that know about the surgery
- Charlie is frustrated because he knows he is not normal and all he wants is to be smart like everyone else but no matter how hard he tries he still remains mentally challenged.
