- Persues learns about the quest/journey and excepts. He gets golden sandals, a sword, and a shield that will help him on his journey. He also knows that he will be rewarded a place among the heroes if he completes his quest.

- The story's conflict is Perseus has to kill Medusa, or he won't get a place among the heroes.Literary Devices: "...whose eyes were like sparks of fire.""They sang like nightingales among the thickets."

- The story's rising action would be when Persues meets the three old ladies and can trick them and take their eye. He soon learns, though, that they don't have the information he needs.

- He meets the nymphs and a dragon who does give him the information he needs.

- The falling action in the story is when Persues sees Medusa and contemplates killing her.
