- Introduction
- Guns and Violence!Did you know guns are responsible for 36,383 deaths per year according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.Less than 2% of gun related deaths are unintentional.
- Thesis
- Do you think guns are a serious threat to human lives?I certaintly feel that some people can't be trusted.We could lessen gun violence if we run deeper background checks,have better security,and loosen restraints on open carry.
- Better Background Checks
- Lots of the gun violence commited is done with illegal guns or by bad people!One way to help would be to run very deep background checks when someone is trying to purchace a firearm.
- Security
- Places with little to no security are often targeted by shooters.If we would up security it may deture any threats.
- Open Carry
- We should loosen the restrictions on open carry.In other words let places open carry where they couldńt.Schools are a great example of this.So many lives could have been saved had this been allowed.
- Conclusion
- We could lessen gun violence by having deeper background checks,upping security,and loosening open carry laws.With this information I hope youĺl come to the same conclusion as me
