- Odysseus tries to avoid to fight his son by being insane and show strength and fear. Odysseus got his son from not fighting because he should too much fear and Telemachus was too scared. In the end, he would have to save his son from being killed by getting run over by a plow.
- Quest #2
- Odysseus had the plan to build a wooden horse. They pretended it was a gift for Poseidon for safe travels home. In reality, the most skilled warrior Greeks hid inside the horse while the others sailed away. When the Trojans saw the offering, they took the horse inside their city because they thought it would make the Greeks drown on the way home by Poseidon. This is where Odysseus learned how to fight and gain strength.
- Ultimate Battle
- Odysseus and his crewmates got stuck on the island of Ogygia with the goddess Calypso, who has fallen in love with him and has him detained and will not let him go home. Odysseus had to battle the goddess that wouldn't let him leave.“In far land, he shall not, though he finds a house of gold” (759). This represents the color of gold that shows wealth. In the night “Six beaches were left empty and every ship that evening” (760). Calypso finally let Odysseus leave and she gave him a brand new boat for their journey back home.
- Triumphant Return
- Odysseus and his men are on a ship and see an island with a lot of goats. The men are only driven by hunger so they are rushed to the food. On this island, there is a monster called the cyclops that loves eating feces and eating people. Odysseus and his men she a cave with food and that cave belong to Polyphemus and he makes his cave more eventing when he opens the rock's entrance and people can see food. The light in the cave represents a hope that the men have that they won't starve. Odysseus is Intelligent, patient, brave and he will find a way out. In the end, they kill the Cyclops by stabbing them in the eye.
- Odysseus returned home after 20 years and he hides He returns home after 20 years and he hides his treasures in a cave so nobody knows he’s wealthy. He disguises himself as an old beggar so nobody on the island knows the king is back, is back, and ready to take his throne. The night is approaching, and he goes to the castle to wait in line to see if he can become King. Odysseus and other men get chosen for kings but they must fight for the spot and Odysseus uses his strength and intelligence that he learned throughout the years of fighting monsters and goddesses. In the end, he wins by killing the other men and becomes the true king.
- Odysseus wins the fight and is now known as the king. He gets remarried to his wife and he celebrates by taking the thrown again. His return was a triumphant return because he had to fight many monsters and goddesses to survive and make it home. When he made it home he had to fight other men to become king.
