Max hear grime and gram fight over somthing and run back to his room after they stop grime and come into Max room to tell him what happen and tell Max that their fighting over buying a gun grim saying when Maxes dad get out of jail he will come for Max and they need something to defense them but gram is say not to buy the gun because they have a restraining order and there no need for the gun so for gram sake he deciding to not buy the gun
When Max is sleeping he wake up because of feeling a cold breath only to have a big hand come on his mouth and being told to not make a sound and being drag outside. when they go outside and under the steetlights only to see is was his turn out that it was his dad who his been in jail and only got out now.he bring him to Iggy house were he forces Iggy to get them a car and then drag him to the basement.
Freak end up saving Max and Max dad end up getting taking back by the police.After Freak saves Max and Max dad end up getting arrested. Max end up testifying against his dad for his dad to end up going back to jail for even a longer time.They go back home where grams forces Max to sleep in her room for that night. Some days later Max goes to Freak birthday party where Freak end up having a stroke and get taken to a hospital .
