- How can we prepare students for an unknown future?
- It can be daunting trying to teach in a world that is constantly changing.
- Allow tech to help you close gaps rather than create one. Use the features that exist to make it more accessible for those students who need it.
- Allow students to take a front seat role in their learning through experiential techniques.
- Teach students to be flexible and open to changes along with resiliency.
- Don't stop being a learner yourself.
- Teach technology and the proper/safe ways to use it.
- Learn how to use the resources to your disposal (e.g. Scratch, Jamboard, Padlet, Quizlet, etc.).
- Backwards planning using essential questions. So, be purposeful about what you're teaching.
- Don't be afraid to take risks.
- You don't have to know what the future holds to be prepared for it. Prepare yourself and your students for the possibility of there being no way to fully prepare. Pay attention to your students and what they're interested in, learn about the available tools and utilize them, be flexible and teach flexibility. Don't be afraid of change, be part of it.
