Good day my name is Aaron Simmons.. my partners from Well Control 5said you would've pass through so I can enlighten you about the Characteristics of kicks
A well kick is an inflow of formation fluids such as oil, gas, or salt water into the wellbore from a formation that the wellbore has penetrated. It happens when the formation's pore pressure is lower than the pressure exerted by the drilling fluid column in the wellbore and the formation is permeable enough to allow fluids to pass through it.
Since formation fluids are typically less thick than drilling muds, they further lower the hydrostatic pressure of the mud column once a kick occurs.
As a result, formation fluid may start to flow into the wellbore relatively fast. To avoid the admission of more formation fluids, a well kick should be stopped or controlled as quickly as practicable. It can be more challenging to effectively regain control of the well the greater the kick.
That's all ladies and gents.. enjoy the rest of the presentation. adiós
