- The French made relationships with the Native Americans in the Ohio River Valley where they would build forts such as Fort Duquesne.
- The French with their Native American allies fought against George Washington who built Fort Necessity 40 miles away, the French won the fight.
- Benjamin Franklin proposed during a meeting of 7 of the colonies that they form a union. This would allow they to declare war, make treaties, control native Americans and make armies. This plan was called The Albany Plan of Union.
- General Edward Braddock was sent from England to provide help in the fights against the French in the Ohio River Valley, he would command the British Forces until killed when fighting with the French at Fort Duquesne.
- William Pitt became secretary of state and leader of the British House of Commons. He did not fight with the French in Europe but instead fought the French in the colonies. He would win battle after battle,eventually making the French surrender after he took Montreal.
- The war reached its end when the Treaty of Paris in 1763 was created. The treaty gave Britain lots of new land, while the French lost most of the land they had in North America, the rest they would give to Spain which was the Louisiana territory due to the loss and them having to give Britain Florida.
