Relatives would pass by on their trucks, cars or bikes telling Rongo to come since it is a good day for Kai Moana, But Rongo's family had many chores which had to be done. He convinced his wife by talking about the pipi which she loved to feed... and so off they went to the reef.

They all had much fun because they got to be able to spend time with their family and friends at the reef. It was a good time being family again and for enjoying there tribal ways

As soon as everyone filled the sugar bags they would return to the beach, they all would laugh, talk and share some kai with each other with very little waste.
There was a sign which said to not take seafood from the reef, because it was polluted. Everyone was so sad from what they saw.
The sea was polluted meaning no more seafood for them... an old woman began to cry out a Tangi to the reef. everyone bowed there heads while she was singing. Rongo called to the reef, after they all went back to their trucks, cars or bikes, with the sugar bags all empty...
