- It is a story of a doctor who had started his medical practice. He earns a mearge income and lives in a small rented room.
- His house was full of rats and they roam in and out of his house. The room has no electricity supply.
- One summer night the doctor takes his dinner at a restaurant and returns home.
- Then he lights the kerosene lamp , opens the window. Then he takes out his medical book and sat on a table on which a lamp, a comb and a mirror are placed.
- As he looks at his image, he thinks that he is not married and is a doctor too and should look handsome to find a better match for himself. And decided to shave daily. As he was thinking he thinks that he would marry a rich doctor and would choose a fat lady as his wife so that she would not be able to run fast catch him in case she cases him for doing some mistakes.

- but a wonder happened where the snake was involved itself to look in the mirror and narrator was in a shock and thanked the god for this. He then escaped the house and has gone to his friend and in the next day when he returned here there was nothing left than his vest and claimed that there was robber who robbed all these.
- There's nothing left except that dreadful thing! Ah! There was a robbery yesterday!
