Hey, Amina (my sister) I noticed that some of our math experiences were different ?
Yeah, I noticed that too during the interview.
For example, I had a class with alot of students in it. Why was your class smaller?
Yeah, I only had three to four students in my classroom. I had audiotary disability. However, it helped me in recieving one-on-one support from my teacher
I am glad that the teachers were supportive. I loved my teachers too.
Yeah, and they would let me use the calculator and a 100 chart. They also gave me other accomodations and modification
That is really nice because I was not allowed to use a calculator, and I did not have a 100 charts to help with multiplication. I still really like math.
Math is my favorite subject too.
What is your biggest takeway from this interview?
Mine was that schools that are high in poverty may not have all the resources to support students and give them oppurtunities to further their education; or have less experienced teachers.
How has this interview made you think more deeply about your role as a math teacher
it has inspired me to become a math teacher who makes every student feel apprecitve. Also, have a enviorment that is accepting and students feel safe.
