Nodal Lines- no sound is heard because the sum is zero of the waves.
Let me explain more specifically about the sound waves when they interfere with each other.
PARTY TIME!

When two waves interfere with each other in the same medium, we call this sound interference. Sound interference affects the amplitude of the sound wave, meaning the volume.
When compressions and rarefactions overlap, they will create super compressions and super rarefactions causing the wave length to double in length making the amplitude increase. When this occurs the wave is in phase and we call this constructive interference.
Now when compressions and rarefactionsinterfere with each other, the point where these two waves meet result in zero amplitude because the waves cancel each other out since both sound waves are opposite. This type of wave interference is out of phase and is called destructive interference.
When waves are emittedfrom a source, like the loud music coming out of the speakers at this night club, the sound waves interfere with each other canceling each other out momentarily since the waves are opposite. We call this nodal lines because at these lines there is no amplitude so you cannot hear the music is you have your ear at this line.

Beat Frequency: Sound waves with different periods and different frequencies creating a beat or whoop noise.
A phenomenoncalled beat frequency, also known as beats occurs when one sound wave has a longer period, meaning it takes that wave longer to complete one cycle. The waves start as constructive interference and then becomes destructive interference because the two sound waves are out of phase. The beats occur because you hear each sound wave at different times. Even a small difference in time affects if you hear the beats or not.
To find beat frequency, we can use the beat frequency equation:bf= number of beats --------------------total time

The Mach Number is the ratio of speed of an object to the speed of the sound specifically in air. This is a good way to compare both of these variables. The equation for Mach number is the speed of object divided by the speed of sound.
The Doppler Effect is a source of sound coming from a source traveling faster than the speed of sound approachesa listener; us. The frequency of the sound appears to change but it actually does not. When the source (the plane) moves past us, the frequency decreases and we hear the sound. When the plane was approaching it we could not hear it. This can be found with this equation: f2= f1 (v) --- v (+ or -) vs
A sonic boom is when the plane is traveling faster than the speed of sound. This is called supersonic speed. In this phenomenon , there is so much destructive interference with contractions and rarefactions that the moisture from the air is pulled out, and the plane has to break through this pressure. A sonic boom is similar to the sound of thunder.
Wow that plane is loud, and we didn't even see it coming!!
We are first handedly experiencing the doppler effect! So cool!

Well it must have been so worth it. We hear sounds every moment of our lives but we never stop and just appreciate how we hear sounds and what sounds and sound waves really are
MOO!
Just remember that sonic booms cause disturbanceto humans and animals like us and can cause damage to our ears because the frequencies can seem high to the ears!.
We went trough all of that just because a cow mooed😂
Yes! Now I know all about sound, and I even got to go to space, Port Stanley, the Yukon, the ocean, a club, and up in the atmosphere all in one day!
Slide: 6
Wow that is crazy how even a small difference in frequency and time changes everything.
The End
Not funny Luna
Why are dogs afraid to go to space? Because its avacuum😂
