- The government does not let you be yourself. They wont let you look how you do and think what you want if you are smarter or prettier.
- The government portrays the security as a utopia
- The year is 2081 and everyone is equal.
- Protagonist wishes to restore people to a conventional life
- Everything is equal/the same because the government wants everything to be the same.
- The goverment always has somebody watching and listening at all times or they will make people wear ear buzzer to stop there thinking if they are too smart and make them wear ugly masks if they are pretty.

- The protagonist of this story is Harrison Bergeron. He just wants everything to go back to normal and let people be who they want to be but he was arrested for that.
