- In Hong Kong, lives a wealthy businessman with two sons. The businessman gives his younger son $5 million to pursue his dream of starting is an oil business.
- Thank you! I will invest this money wisely.
- You have lots of potential, here is $5 million to start your business.
- The son goes to Russia to begin his oil business, but quickly loses sight of his goal. He spends all his money on clubbing and expensive clothes.
- After spending all of his money, Russia went to war with Ukraine, putting the economy into a huge recession. The son found a job as a server in a cheap restaurant. He longed for the food he served to customers, but nobody ever fed him.
- The son then realized his family could feed him from home. His plan was to apologize for his failures and see if his father would hire him.
- The son apologized, but to his shock, his father was thrilled. He organized a huge feast to celebrate his return. But the older son was confused as to why his father was rejoicing after his son failed.
- All these years I’ve never disappointed you. Yet you never threw me a party so I could celebrate with my friends. But when this son of yours who has wasted your money comes home, you make a huge feast for him!
- The father explained:
- You are both my sons, and I will always love you both equally. Nothing you do can change that. You have always had access to my things. If you had returned from traveling, I would have done the same for you.
