Total WellnessYour Total Wellness is how you are as a person socially, physically, and mentally/emotionally. Now if you aren't sure what these categories are, let me go more in depth. While total wellness all together consists of these three categories, the three categories are very different from each other. Social Wellness is how well you interact with your peers around you and even your family. You might be like "I have lots of friends, my social wellness is so good." Yes, having lots of friends can be nice, but are they true friends. Good social wellness means good relationships with people, that means listening to them, comforting them, being respectful towards them, and even just taking the time to hang out with them. Ask yourself if you are a better version of yourself when you're with them and see if they truly care about you, that's a real friend. Physical Wellness is how well your body's health is. This means working out, getting enough sleep, and it also means the type of foods you consume and put into your body. Making sure you exercise is crucial because it not only keeps you in good shape, but it is good for you. Sleeping a good amount of time is also a very important part because getting enough sleep gives your body enough time to relax and take a break from constantly going throughout the day. It's like a reset button. Also, eating good nutrient-rich food is very important. Making sure you put good food into your body and not junk food. I don't mean good taste, I mean good as in for your body's health. Fast food every day is a great example of not putting good food into your body, but if you eat vegetables or fruit, those are perfect examples of nutrient-rich foods.Mental/Emotional Wellness means how you feel and think. Having a healthy mindset is also very important because it makes you feel better as a person. Also stress-management is an important factor of your mental wellness because being stressed is not a nice feeling and can lead to bad choices. Finding ways to cope or even finding someone you trust who you can go to during difficult times is a very good idea, it not only strengthens your relationship with that person, but it gives you a "safety net". It gives you a place where you can go back to and just calm down for a moment, and just talking about something is also a very good way of relieving stress.
