To build Empires in the Americas, I, the Europeans, will establish settlements, build outposts to control trade, and convert the Indigenous people to Christianity. Spain permitted its settlers to Native American labor, and often mistreated and enslaved them.
Europeans brought diseases from Europe, which ended up killing nearly 90% of Native Americans. The Indigenous were often forced to convert to Christianity and were sold off as slaves.

Europe's merchants changed the trading system because English settlers settled and established many settlements in the New World. As Europeans created empires and grew rich, profitable trade developed between their homelands and their overseas settlements. Gaining profit from trade led to the theory of mercantilism.

Trade changed the world because as Europe's trade expanded, a global exchange of people goods, technology, ideas, and diseases began. This was called the Columbian exchange and it also transformed the economies of Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. One great thing was the new foods that were introduced which mainly were corn, potatoes, squash, beans, tomatoes, wheat, oats, barley, rye, rice, and livestock.
