Hey, what is nutrition?
Nutrition, ah, an interesting subject. Nutrition is the study of nutrients, and how the body reacts to them!
Nutrition like I said, is the study of nutrients and how the body uses them. We'll get to MyPlate later. There are 6 key factors to healthy nutrition, and eating/drinking them is fundamental for growth.
So, my parents were talking about nutrition, and that it's healthy to have good nutrition and something called MyPlate. What does all of this mean?
Oh wow, water is actually a lot more important than I thought!
Secondly, we'll discuss carbohydrates. Or carbs. To put carbohydrates into simple words, they are the main source of energy in our bodies.
So carbs really are very necessary for us to have!
Nextly, we have protein. Protein in our diet is used for growth, repair and maintenance of our bodies tissues. You can find protein in meat, dairy, poultry, seafood, beans, peas nuts and many more!
