- Do you, Jacqueline Bouvier, take John F. Kennedy to be your husband?
- Ya! It's going to be our home for a while.
- Wow!! This place is so big!
- Yay!
- It doesn't bother me. Why don't you do something to it?
- That's exactly what I'm going to do. I'm going to remodel the White House!
- I just can't stand how this house looks. It hasn't been remodeled since George Washington was here.
- On September 12 1953, John Kennedy and Jackie Bouvier got married.
- I can get the tiles and floor boards.
- I'm in! I can help get the furniture you would like.
- I'll help with the paint and wallpaper.
- I'm thinking about remodeling the White House. Can I have your help with furniture and all the other needs of remodeling?
- Oh! We can't forget a beautiful chandelier!
- Eight years after the wedding, John became president and he and Jackie moved into the White House on January 20, 1961 with their son and daughter.
- Maybe we can put some gold vases on the ledge and some royal blue walls.

- A little after staying in the White House, Jackie couldn't stand the way it looked. She was determined to redecorate it.
- Here is the blue room, where I got the idea of redecorating the White House. It really feels like home now!
- With the determination of redecorating the White House, she had help from a couple of friends to get supplies she needed to succeed.
- Jackie brainstormed ideas of what to do for this room. She had the help of her friends she had earlier met up with, but this was going to be a long journey.
- After she had finished the White House, which took about two years, many people were curious about how it looked. She was so famous for doing this and everyone in the world knew about Jackie Kennedy from her elegant style and her decorating skills. Soon after decorating the White House so elegantly, the President was assassinated.
