Francisco tiredly woke up and grabbed his phone after barely sleeping last night. He finally convinced his parents to let him use social media, but everyday, he's been scrolling until 3 AM.
Francisco was laying in his bed, addicted to his phone, when he received a notification from his Instagram messages.
Hey buddy! I'm in a lot of moneyz toruble so if you can Pay pal me $500 dollars, I be in your debt! Please don8 using with this link!dOn@te.here

Francisco almost clicked the link, wanting to help his friend, but then he read the message carefully. He noticed the non-specific name like Buddy. As well, he saw spelling errors that made the message hard to read. There was also a shortened link and it talked about a friend in need. All these signs pointed to a phishing scam, trying to steal his money.
Francisco soon realized that he was so tired from scrolling and posting on Instagram all day that he almost fell for that obvious phishing scam. He understood that he became addicted and was putting too much time into social media. To take a break, he set his phone on the table and promised not to touch it until tomorrow.
After Francisco put down his phone, he was able to finish all his homework for the weekend. Then, he went on a walk in his favorite park, away from the stress of social media and proud of himself for catching the phishing scam.
