Scene 1, Part 2
The Three Witches summon apparitions to convey Macbeth's future to him. The first one tells Macbeth to "Beware Macduff", which confirms his suspicions. The second one tells him that no one born of a woman will harm him. The last one states that he won't be defeated until Birnam Wood marches down Dunsinane Hill. After they all disappear, Macbeth believe that his power is overall safe. Except the fact that Banquo's children still inherit the Throne

Macbeth ordered the Three Murderers to kill Macduff's family. They succeed in this, stabbing Macduth's son and chasing Macduff's wife until they finally catch her and kill her.

Ross informs Macduff that his family has been murdered, and Macduff is heartbroken. Malcolm tries to make him feel a little better by telling him to get revenge on Macbeth, to which Maccduff agrees.
