We are now going to tax molasses and many other products, whether you like it or not.
The Quatering Act required colonists to house and feed soldiers. The colonists were upset about the Act becuase it violated their rights and privacy.
STAMP ACT
Sorry to say this, but, you need to buy some special stamps for these
The Writs of Assistence allowed the British to search imports for illegal goods without asking. This was a violation of the colonmists rights.
DECLARATORY ACT
The Sugar Act put import tax on many products. It also had harsh punishments for smugglers. This Act affected the smugglers most.
TOWNSHEAD ACT
You can't do that!
The Stamp Act required colonists to buy a special stamp for many products and activities. This Act was disliked by many, because the colonists had to buy a separate stamp to do certain things. This was later repealed due to protests.
The Declatory Act gave Parliment the rights to control the colonists.The colonists disliked this for many reasons, but especially because they had no representation in Parliment.
We now have to rights to control you now.
Thats not fair!
The Townshead Act allowed Britian to tax only imports to the colonies. This helped the colonies a bit, but this Act also set up the Writs of Assistence, which the colonists hated.
