  • In "The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street" by Rod Serley, one of the main themes is Dont be quick to point fingers.One reason is that the people on maple street were all pointing at Goodman because everyone thought that he was the monster for his car starting up. this shows that the people were acting up without barley any evidence that goodman was the monster.Another reason is that charlie saw a black figure and pointed a gunat it when he didn't now what it was. Later on charlie found out that the figure that he shot was his friends. This shows that charlie was being to quick to see what it actaully was . The last reason why the main theme is Don't be quick to point fingers because the group was acusing everyone of being the monster when charlies house lit up with light. this shows that getting mad at each other for no reason makes a effect. In conulsuion the main themefor monsters are due on maple street is dont be quick to point fingers.
