- I gave thee mine before thou didst request it, and yet I would it were to give again.
- In Act 2, Scene 2 of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo sneaks into the Capulet's garden after the party. He spots Juliet on her balcony and they talk. They express their love for each other, even though their families are enemies. Juliet worries about their situation, but Romeo assures her that love is worth the risk. They share kisses and promise to be together, planning to marry soon. This scene shows their deep feelings and the challenges they face because of their families.

- Act 2, Scene 3
- In Act 2, Scene 3 of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo goes to Friar Laurence early in the morning. He asks the Friar to marry him and Juliet. The Friar is surprised but agrees to help because he hopes their marriage might end the feud between the Montagues and Capulets. He warns Romeo to be careful and not rush into things, but he sees the love between them as a good thing. The scene shows the Friar's role as a mentor and sets up the next steps in Romeo and Juliet's relationship.

- The clock struck nine when I did send the Nurse. In half an hour she promised to return.
- In Act 2, Scene 4 of Romeo and Juliet, Romeo's friends, Mercutio and Benvolio, are talking and joking about him. They are trying to find him after the party. They think Romeo is still heartbroken over Rosaline. Just then, Romeo arrives, and they tease him about his new love for Juliet.The Nurse comes looking for Romeo and asks him to speak with Juliet. Mercutio makes some jokes about the Nurse, but Romeo stays serious. He tells the Nurse to tell Juliet to meet him at Friar Laurence's cell so they can get married. The scene is lighthearted, showing the friendship between the characters, but it also builds excitement for Romeo and Juliet's secret plans.
