- Hermia wants to marry Lysander, but it is against her fathers wishes. So Theseus and Egeus are forcing Hermia to either marry Demetrius, be executed, or never be able to see another man again.
- Hermia you have to decide to either follow your fathers wishes, get executed or never see another man again.
- Only Demetrius has my permission to marry my daughter!
- Id rather die that marry someone I don't love.
- Lysander comwes up with a plan for them to live happily together without Hermia needing to be executed. Hermia and him discuss their idea to run away and decide on a meet up spot. They plan on run away to Lysanders Aunt home.
- I have an aunt who is very rich and lives twenty miles from Athens. We could get married there where the laws of Athens cannot touch us. Meet me in the forest a few miles outside of town.
- Oh, Lysander I give you my word that I will meet you at that spot tomorrow.
- Helena plans on telling Demetrius about Lysander and Hermia's plan just in order to see him any chance that she gets.
- Helena, our secret plan is to run away from Athens to get married.
- I will tell Demetrius so that I can spend some time with him.
