Storyboard Text

  • Welcome Back to "BioTV" and I'm your host Jessica!
  • Today I present to you a special guest!
  • Mr. Water MC'Falls!
  • *CLAPS*
  • Thank you
  • *CLAPS*
  • Hello Mr.Mc'Falls. How are you doing today?
  • Fine! And please, just call me Water
  • Alright. So Water, you are sought out to be one of the richest molecules out in the world
  • With various properties under your name. Do you care to share a few?
  • Of course
  • One of my famous ones in Surface Tension Tech.
  • Surface tension is the tendency of liquid surfaces at rest to shrink into the minimum surface area possible. Water's high surface tension is due to the hydrogen bonding in water molecules. It's involved with drinking of birds and bees, the flow of xylem in plants, , respiration in humans
  • Another one is Adhesion org!
  • Adhesion is the bonding between unlike molecules. Adhesion of H2O to vessel walls counters pull of gravity. In the case of xylem, adhesion occurs between water molecules and the molecules of the xylem cell walls.
  • Here is Specific Heat inc!
  • Water's high heat capacity is a property caused by hydrogen bonding among water molecules. When heat is absorbed, hydrogen bonds are broken and water molecules can move freely. When the temperature of water decreases, the hydrogen bonds are formed and release a considerable amount of energy.
  • This is Evaporation Cooling Corp
  • Faster moving molecules with higher kinetic energy escape as a gas whereas slower moving molecules with less kinetic energy escape as liquid when water evaporates from an object's surface. As a result, the temperature of the surface where the liquid is evaporating is lowered.
  • Presenting Density Co
  • The fact that water loses density as temperature drops from 4° C to the point at which it freezes makes it one of the peculiar characteristics of water. This enables a variety of aquatic life forms to endure the winter. If ice were more dense than water, it would continue to freeze and sink until the lake was completely frozen.
  • CLAP
  • And those are just a few of my properties
  • CLAP
  • Thank you for that
