- Grendel killed 30 men that night, carrying them home to feast on their bones . Later that night KIng Hrothgar closed the Mead Hall.
- I will cross the Whale Road, to help Hrothgar. I will bring 16 of the fiercest Geatland soldiers.
- Beowulf and his 16 soldiers crossed Whale Road after two days on the ship. The trip was over
- Beowulf and Grendel engage in some fierce combat. Beowulf and Grendel wrestle. The Geats attack Grendel with swords. The swords don't hurt him. Beowulf keeps pulling and wrestling until Grendel's arm gets torn away. Grendel struggles until he finally breathes his last breath.
- Beowulf swims for almost two days, until he reaches the cave. Grendel's mother waits for Beowulf there. Beowulf swings Hrunting at her but it does not hurt her. Beowulf then finds a swords from the olden days of the giants. He kills her by slicing her straight through her neck with the giant's sword.
- Beowulf fights the Dragon that has been terrorizing Geatland. He stands at the barrow entrance. He shouts to alert the dragon. The dragon came, it was blowing its fire, burning Beowulf. Beowulf for the first time, knew that fate wasn't going to let him win this. Beowulf and Wiglaf together defeats the dragon. Beowulf is succumbing to the wound from the dragon's teeth. Beowulf dies with Wiglaf by his side.
