- Event 1: Act 3 Scene 1 (Olivia's Garden)
- God saveth thee cousin. Thee playeth wond'rful music, doth thee liveth by thy tabor?
- No sir, I liveth by the church. I liveth in a house yond is by the church.
- Event 2: Act 3 Scene 1 (Olivia's Garden)
- "Stay. I prithee tell me what thou think'st of me." (3.1.139-40)
- "That you do think you are not what you are. " (3.1.141)
- Event 3: Act 3 Scene 2 (Olivia's House)
- "She did show favor to the youth in your sight only to exasperate you," (3.2.18-19)
- Then bid me. What is this stout evidence yond the lady loves me?
- Jump. Dare the youth to a duel. Writeth a lett'r to that gent.
- Cesario arrives at Olivia's house to attempt to woo her for Duke Orsino. Before meeting her, she meets the Feste the Clown. A conversation starts between the two.
- Event 4: Act 3 Scene 3 (A Street)
- "Belike you slew great number of his people?" (3.3.29)
- "Th' offense is not of such a bloody nature," (3.3.30)
- Cesario tries to woo Olivia for Duke Orsino. Olivia dismisses the Duke's love and instead shows love to Cesario.
- Event 5: Act 3 Scene 4 (Olivia's Garden)
- Malvolio? Wherefore art thee acting so strange?
- Mine own sweet lady! Thou hath sent for me?
- Fabian convinces Sir Andrew that Olivia does love him and that her showing love to Cesario was to make him jealous. Sir Toby suggests for Sir Andrew to challenge Cesario by sending him a letter.
- Event 6: Act 3 Scene 4 (Olivia's Garden)
- Peace, peace. We has't to dudgeon this gently. Malvolio hast hath happened to thee? Wherefore art thee acting liketh this?
- Leaveth me high-lone, I desire to has't mine own owneth privacy.
- Antonio finds Sebastian on the streets of town. Antonio explains to Sebastian he must keep a low profile because he is a wanted man for Duke Orsino. He explains that he and some others did steal from the Duke, but he was the only one who didn't return what was stolen.
- Malvolio approaches Olivia thinking she loves him because he thinks she wrote the love letter to him. Olivia is confused as she was not the one who wrote the letter, but rather Maria.
- Sir Toby, Fabian, and Maria continue their practical joke on Malvolio by acting shocked at his behavior.
