- Shorty after the last Greeco-persian war, the city of Athens began to gain lots of money, but this money was from all of the other city-states. This other city-states were not getting any benefit, and had to pay to Athens.
- We will make an incredible city!
- Approximately in 460-445 B.C.E, The first Peloponnesian war began. Sparta decided to fight against Athens, different from Athens, Sparta had a very good trained army, because all the city-state was focused in war and military strategies. Sparta won to Athens.

- All ended with something called The thirty years of peace, this move lasted less than a half of the 30 years (445-431 B.C.E). Soon Corinto had Sparta and the Peloponesian league to declare war to Athens. They wanted to declare war because all these people wanted to stop the new growing Athenian empire. This war was mostly known as Archidamian War (431-421 B.C.E).
- Sparta´s military strategy was predicted by Athens, but some contaminated grain that came through the reconstructed Athens walls. This caused lots of dead Athenians, including king Pericles which died due to this infection.
- Everyone is sick!
- The remaining Athenian soldiers decided to try a more aggressive military strategy. Spartan salves were forced to runaway. These war ended by a fifty year peace called Peace of Nicias. This didn´t went all the way up to 50 years.

- Athens decided to conquer the city-state of Syracuse, this ended in tragedy, Athens lost 2/3 of their navy and almost 10,000 people. Also Sparta freed 20,000 Athenian slaves.
