- Hi my name is Dessie Jackson. I'm New in New York City and I live with my parents. I'm 14 year old and I'm originally from Zimbabwe but I got adopted when I was 1 years old. I grew up in Sweden and my mom found a great job here in New York so we decided to move to New York,

- Mom! I'm leaving now, the bus is outside.
- It was my first day in Marymount School of New York. I was so nervous but excited at the same time. My only wish was to get friends today.
- Hi my name is Eden. I'm so excited that you are here. what's your name?
- Hi Eden nice to meet you, my name is Dessie and I come from Sweden!
- Dessie we always get discussing food in school.
- Everything went good in the classroom, the teacher introduced me for the class and she was very kind. But when we came to lunch I saw something that I did not expect, the food look terrible but of course I did not say it.

- Omg the food is so good today!
- Okey friends, I have to take the bus home so I will see you tomorrow.
- We ate the lunch food that could have been better. We had science and math and after that it was the end of the day, I got really good friends and I was excited to tell my parents about them. I also found out that my friend Leo was my neighbor.
- Leo my dad is wondering if you want to get picked up?
- Yeah sure thanks!
- My dad drove Leo home. Leo told me that he has 3 older sisters and that he lives with his dad. His mom died in a car accident 3 years ago. My dad told Leo that he and his family can come over. fore dinner sometime.

- Hey mom! My first day was amazing. The teachers where so kind and the students are interesting
- My moms name is Jenifer Jackson, she owns a makeup brand in Manhattan. She is 36 years old and she is not like any other mom. Me and my mom aren't so close with each other, she only talks about how rich she is and that how stressful her job is.
