- A oasis is a water source that’s in the desert that normally has vegetation around it. You can normally find insects such as water bugs and birds like sparrows near an oasis. A oasis is important because it is a water source for animals and insects. Another reason why oasis’s are important is because it’s a resting spot for people riding camels.

- A caravan is when a group of traders travel together on camels. A caravan would keep the traders safer because a bunch of people traveling together could scare off any people who may try to steal. For example, the Bedouins would often steal from traders traveling alone so it was safer to travel in a group like a caravan.

- Hijab
- A Hijab is a head covering that Muslim women wear. There are many different types of head coverings, a few of the many head coverings are hijabs, Buraks, Niqab, Chador, and Abaya. Many Muslim woman wear Hijabs but it is not mandatory to wear hijabs. Some woman may choose not to wear a hijab because they don’t feel comfortable wearing one, or covers to much, or it’s not convenient.
