- In summary we can see now that chemical bonding is indeed a very important thing. From cooking food, cleaning our house, creation of medicines and helping the plants grow. Even our gadgets and electricity make use of chemical bonding!
- Medicine is another important use of chemical bonding the pills and medicines we use are all made from chemicals that are there to make our body stronger and to kill viruses and basically without medicine we would get sick very often. Chemical bonding is important in making medicines because by sharing a pair of electrons, a new molecule is formed via a covalent interaction. This interaction is very strong, leading to irreversible binding between a drug and its target.
- Another common product we use in our daily lives which uses chemical bonding occurs through cleaning chemicals. Sodium hypochlorite also called as bleach is formed from ionic bonding, bleach helps us clean our bathrooms and sinks.
- We can see the products of chemical bonding most commonly in our kitchens. An example of chemical bonding product in your kitchen is sodium chloride which is commonly known as salt and Sodium bicarbonate also known as baking soda, these two examples are formed from ionic bonding.
