- Temüjin Borjigin or Genghis Khan was born in Khentii Mountains, Khamag Mongol in 1162. Khan had a very rough upbringing and his Family was poor He grew up during a time where there were multiple rival Mongolian tribes. His father was killed as a young child due to this.
- Mongol Expansion
- We are the most Powerful Empire in the world we conquered China. If anyone gets in our way they will die.
- Try to stop US from taking it
- We must control the trade routes so we will have money and we have to protect them from thief's.
- Khan stepped up and became a leader for his Mongolian tribe. This led to him be able to capitalize on shifting tribal alliances and betrayals as well as being able to be victorious in many military battles, and he also made the defeated tribes join his tribe which caused the Mongolian tribes to become united in 1202.

- In 1202 Temüjin was given the name Genghis Khan by a Mongolian tribe which means “universal” or “supreme” ruler. The Mongols needed resources to become a powerhouse empire. So in 1209 began the Mongol expansion which Mongols overtook many lands the expansion continued for about 50 years under Genghis Khan and his grandsons who became his successor's.
- The Fall of the Mongols
- Khan was able to expand the Mongolians rule all over Asia, from the Pacific coast of Asia to Eastern Europe. Not only that the Mongols were able to connect major civilizations of Eurasia (Europe, China, and the Islamic world). Which allowed for Cultural diffusion and Money for the Mongols and Money = Power.
- SILK ROAD
- Khan died in 1227, 25 years after he united the Mongolian tribes. Although Khan died in 1227 the Mongols would still be powerful even after his death.

- The Mongols would be in rule until 1368 because due to the death of Kublai Khan who is Genghis's Khan grandson and was a leader of the Mongols. The Mongolian empires became weakend so they fractured into four separate empires, or khanates. The weaknesses allowed the Han Chinese Ming Dynasty to take control in 1368,
