The Crucible Act II Storyboard
Storyboard Text
- During this part of The Crucible Act II, Reverend John Hale visits the Proctors to ask them a few questions. During his visit, he asks the Proctors why they haven't been attending church, why their third son isn't baptized, and if they are able to recite the Ten Commandments. John is able to recite all but one Commandment. After this, John Hale is about to leave right as Elizabeth Proctor urges John Proctor to tell Reverend Hale about witchcraft being a fraud. When he does, Reverend Hale is shocked and asks Elizabeth if she believes that the witches are real. Elizabeth responds by saying that she doesn't, in order to keep her name cleared.
