- My leaves usually consist of a single basal leaf, it is elongated in shape and ranges from a light to medium green color. I can also grow from around 4-12 inches. Being known as the rose pogonia, my glowers display as shades of pink, rose,magenta, or any combination of these colors.

- I am the Rose Pogonia. To introduce myself, my labellum is characterized by its broad petal-like structure, often being a vibrant shade of pink, rose or magenta
- I live in wetland habitats across North America, including bogs, swamps, and marshes.Thriving in high humidity, requiring partial to full sunlight, and producing vibrant rose colored flowers.
- I rely on pollinators such bees and butterflies from reproduction. My pretty flowers attract the animals and they facilitate in the transference of pollen.My status in Maryland is endangered.
- It is important to protect my species because we are important to biodiversity, have medicinal and horticultural potential, and am an indicator of wetland health
