Once upon a time, there was a handsome man. His name was Batara Guru Sahala. He liked fishing.
Both of you are hardheaded. You both are just like your fish-woman mother.
One day, he caught a fish. He was surprised to find out that the fish could talk. The fish begged him to set it free. Batara Guru could not bear it. He made the fish free.
Mother, father was so mad and he told us that you're a fish woman. Is that true?
Yes it's true my daughters and he promised that he won't tell anyone about it. But...but he broke his promise!!!
As soon as Batara Guru set the fish free. It changed into a beautiful woman. She attraceted Batara Guru so much. And so they happily got married and had two daughters.
You broke your promise! I trusted you! How can you do this to me!
One day, Batara Guru got very angry with his daughter . He was not able to control his anger. That is why he yelled.
The two got shock from what their father told them. And so they found their mother and asked her. Both did not expect what their mother just revealed.
She keeps on shouting that the earth began to shake, volcanoes erupting. Creating a big hole to the ground. Starting from then, people start to believe that the big hole became a lake and was later on called Lake Toba.
