It's been five months there's still so much time left!
Oh yeah! I can't wait to see my family.
I can't wait now we only have 1 month left!
As months pass, Marcus and his family keep in touch by calling or video calling. Marcus's dad doesn't always have time to call, so when he does, he makes sure he calls.
After the phone call, Marcus goes to bed. He starts to cry as he thinks time isn't going fast enough. He wants this deployment to be over already and misses his dad extra after calls because it feels like for a split second that he is still home.
Oh that's awesome. Good luck!
Hey Bud! Heard you have a game today. Where is it?
Dad
It's home at 10 am. Hopefully we win!
More months are passing and the time for Marcus's dad to come home has been shortened. The deployment has shortened a month but Marcus's dad doesn't tell his family that. He would like to surprise them if he can.
Welcome!
Welcome Back!
Basketball season is starting for Marcus and he is very excited. He is even more excited because he feels once the season starts it will kill more time until his dad comes home. He is upset that his dad can't make many games but he isn't aware that his dad is coming home earlier than expected!
Marcus's dad has finally landed back home after a long deployment, but his family doesn't know he is home yet. Marcus's family is at his game but what they don't know is that Marcus's dad is planning on coming to surprise him. He texts Marcus about the game and tries to get information of the time and place so he can pull off the surprise.
Thanks!
Just before the game starts, Marcus is in the huddle with his team. Suddenly he hears everyone clapping. He turns around to see his dad walking towards him. Marcus and his family run towards him and give him a big hug. They start to tear up as they didn't expect this but are so happy! Marcus's dad is very happy he was able to surprise them and be back with his family. He even got a standing ovation for his return. Welcome home!
