  • 1. Hi My name is Mr. Metamorphic!
  • 3. Let us show you how you can turn that burning hot liquid into something even better.
  • 2. And I am Magma.
  • 4. You know without me you wouldn't be here. so I am the most important.
  • First the magma needs to be cooled. That then turns into a Igneous Rock.
  • Hello everyone, my name is Mr. Igneous. Would you guys like to hear a cool fact about me? My name Mr. Igneous actually comes from the Latin word 'ignis' which means fire!
  • As Mr. Metamorphic said above, I actually come from the cooling of lava. Then I become this beautiful rock that everyone loves!
  • Next we have to go through the process of weathering and erosion
  • Some different way rock can weather and erode are: water, plants, salts, animals, acids, ice ad changes in tempter.
  • This will then change a metamorphic rock into...
  • So what is magma? Magma is a substance that ranges in heat from 700 °C to 1300 °C! There are actually 4 different types of magma felsic, intermediate, mafic, and ultramafic. Magma is a hot fluid or semifluid liquid below or within the earth's crust.
  • 3. Mr. Sediment why don't you tell us a little about yourself.
  • 1. Hello Mr. Sediment
  • 5. Thank you for your time Mr. Sediment.
  • 6. Thank you for having me Mr. Metamorphic.
  • 4. So, I was actually formed from the weathering and erosion of a Igneous Rock. Then I was formed!
  • 2. Hello Mr. Metamorphic
  • Igneous Rocks are formed when lava cools to a solid-state. A cool fact about Igneous rocks is that Earth's moon is actually made from Igneous Rocks! Another fascinating fact is that an igneous rock called pumice is actually the lightest rock on earth.
  • So, you where created by the compaction and cementation of sediments.
  • Hello Mr. Sedimentary Rock. How are you doing?
  • Thats right.
  • Good afternoon Mr. Metamorphic rock. I'm doing just fine, thanks for asking.
  • Weathering is the breaking down and dissolving of rocks and minerals. once the rock has been broken down it will be eroded and transported away to someplace else.
  • And now with the process of Heat and Pressure the Sedimentary Rock becomes me! A Metamorphic Rock.
  • See all these steps it takes for me to be created, it craszy! Just think of it, everytime you see a metamorphic rock, it would have had to go through all these steps to be created to.
  • Thank you for coming on this crazy journey with me, while I showed you the rock cycle. See you next time! And as always have a Rocktabyles Day!😃
  • Sedimentary rocks are formed from pre-existing rocks or pieces of once-living organisms. Sedimentary rock is likely to contain fossils of plants and animals that are millions of years old.
  • Sedimentary rocks are formed from pre-existing rocks or pieces of once-living organisms. A fact about Sedimentary rocks is Sedimentary rock often contains fossils of plants and animals millions of years old.
  • Metamorphic rocks started out as something else and is now beautiful rock. And personally my favourite. A fact about Metamorphic rocks is Metamorphic rocks have been changed over time by extreme pressure and heat.
